5 best BMX games for Android to get your grind on

BMX is a better activity in real life than it is in video games. There have never been many good BMX games, even on console or PC. It is, after all, a very niche gaming market. Still, it’s a fun genre if you find a decent game. Mobile BMX games are a little average comparatively speaking. This is a very small genre in mobile gaming with only a few decent options. We can help you get started with the best BMX games for Android.

BMX FE3D 2 is a very average BMX game. It’s a 3D game that lets you perform various tricks. You can also design your own parks, customize your character, and play three different game modes. There is also a progression system to improve your tricks. It’s a little slow and the graphics are a little low rent. However, the game is completely free with ad support. We’ve seen games that cost money that don’t try as hard as this one. It’s a good BMX game, but not a great one.

Max Air BMX

Price: Free to play

Max Air BMX is a decent little arcade BMX game. You start by selecting a bike and then doing as many tricks as you can on a half pipe. It’s a 2D game so you don’t get the exploration elements of other games. However, there are 12 bikes, smooth gameplay, and there are multiple places to play and things to do. This is definitely a step above other BMX games in terms of execution and polish, even if the premise is simpler. It’s one of the five best BMX games we could find, though, and it’s an easy, fun way to kill a few minutes.

Pumped BMX 3

Price: $3.99

Pumped BMX 3 is a 2.5D BMX game from Noodecake Studios. It has a ton of content. That includes 750 challenges, 15 characters, two dozen tricks, and 60 levels. Your goal is to do each level and complete each challenge. The challenges range from fairly easy to fairy difficult. Additionally, this game has no freemium content whatsoever. You pay the $3.99 one time and you get the whole game. We’d like to see more updates from the developer, even if it’s just to modern Android SDKs. However, this game is otherwise quite good. This game is also free if you use Google Play Pass.

Shred 2

Price: $3.49 + $1.49

Shred 2 is technically a mountain biking game. However, it shares a lot of elements with BMX games. You hit massive ramps and hills to do massive tricks. This game is one of the faster titles on the list. It’s a 2.5D game. You don’t have free roam but you do have a lot of opportunities to pull off monster tricks. The game includes 40 levels, hardware controller support, a decent soundtrack, and more. There really isn’t a lot to dislike about this one. It runs for $3.49 with an optional $1.49 in-app purchase if you want it. It’s not quite BMX, but it swings above its weight class in this genre.

Touchgrind BMX 2

Price: Free / $4.99

Touchgrind BMX 2 is probably the most popular BMX game on Google Play. It uses similar mechanics to games like True Skate. Your fingers control the bike both on the ground and in mid-air. You flick, drag, and swipe to do tricks. It features a variety of unlockable bikes and locations along with a replay feature for those excellent runs. Some find the controls a little clunky. They worked fine during our testing. This is definitely one of the BMX games to try first. The graphics aren’t half bad either. This one is also free to play if you use Google Play Pass. You can also still play the first Touchgrind BMX game (Google Play) if you want to double up on the content you can do.
