AMD Radeon graphics cards have long been associated with longevity. As our tests and various enthusiast analyzes have shown, these chips outperform their competitors over time. Moreover, it is widely believed that they enjoy long support from the manufacturer. Despite this, owners of the popular RX 6000 series chips have the right to be disappointed. It turns out that these models have not received a new version of drivers for a long time. Is there cause for concern?
We only hope that the lack of driver updates for Radeon RX 6000 is just a temporary omission and users of these graphics cards will soon be able to count on appropriate support.
MorePowerTool will not support AMD Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards. The creators of the tool explain the reasons
AMD has just released a new version of the Adrenalin 23.1.2 drivers, which – for the third time in a row – is intended only for cards from the Radeon RX 7900 family. Of course, you can understand that the manufacturer wants to take care of its latest flagships first, but it’s worth knowing that the last update for the much more popular RX 6000 units appeared on December 8, 2022, i.e. 48 days ago. The RDNA 2 series is not as old as some may think – after all, models such as the Radeon RX 6950 XT, RX 6750 XT or RX 6650 XT are only a few months old, and yet their users still have to settle for last year’s drivers .
Of course, this does not mean that Radeon RX 6000 owners are now in a difficult position, but in general there is something to regret. Adrenalin 23.1.2 drivers include provide optimization for Forspoken, numerous improvements to the Vulkan API, and fix bugs in some games (e.g. Uncharted 4, FIFA 23 or Battlefield 4) or in the Windows 11 22H2 operating system. You will find more information at this linkwhich leads to the manufacturer’s website. We only hope that the lack of driver updates for Radeon RX 6000 is just a temporary omission and users of these graphics cards will soon be able to count on appropriate support.
