ASRock does not rule out releasing NVIDIA graphics cards. The company representative directly addressed the topic

ASRock does not rule out releasing NVIDIA graphics cards. The company representative directly addressed the topicASRock is known on our market mainly for its wide range of motherboards, although for several years this manufacturer has also been fighting bravely in the field of non-reference graphics cards. The portfolio includes not only quite successful AMD Radeon gaming models, but also Intel ARC. However, some may ask themselves: “if they are doing so well in this field, why don’t they start publishing popular GeForce”? Well, as it turns out, the answer is not so obvious.

ASRock’s representative does not rule out partnership with NVIDIA in the future, but due to the Greens’ monopoly, possible cooperation with the giant is perceived as a huge challenge.

In an interview for QuasarZone, a representative of the Korean branch of ASRock was asked directly about plans for NVIDIA graphics cards. Here is his reaction: “This is a very difficult question. The only companies that offer cards from both NVIDIA and AMD are ASUS, Gigabyte and MSI. All of these brands have been around longer than us, and when they started out there were many different card manufacturers such as ATI and NVIDIA, and Elsa and Voodoo, and no one had a monopoly. But as time went on, NVIDIA’s dominance became overwhelming and what emerged was a world where NVIDIA card manufacturing became very influential. I think there are complex reasons for this. From a perspective ASRock, which currently produces AMD and Intel cards, starting the production of NVIDIA units would be a great challenge for us”.

It is difficult to hide the fact that NVIDIA’s dominant position makes entering into such a partnership a significant undertaking. Moreover, EVGA and XFX serve as examples that this type of cooperation can be extremely problematic. It is worth noting, however, that the ASRock representative did not categorically rule out such a scenario. You just need to be aware that the possible creation of a GeForce card with the logo of the company in question is rather a thing of the distant future, and the effort associated with entering into a partnership may ultimately not be worth it.
