One of the largest motherboard manufacturers, which is the Taiwanese company ASRock, has just presented a new series equipped with Intel Alder Lake-N processors. Models marked as N100M and N100DC-ITX have an energy-saving Intel N100 processor on board with a large heatsink that provides passive, quiet cooling. However, each of them has a distinguishing feature that determines its final destination.
ASRock introduces a new series of motherboards with the Intel N100 processor. Two new models – N100M and N100DC-ITX – due to their specifications and dimensions have a lot of potential to be used.
ASRock A620M Pro RS WiFi with unexpected PCIe 5.0 support. The motherboard handled the fast SSD without any problems
ASRock N100M is a model that is characterized by a microATX format, the presence of a USB Type-C port and an M.2 connector. The latter can be used as a place for an additional SSD or a Wi-Fi card (in addition, there are two antenna places on the motherboard). Both models use the power of the Intel N100 processor. It is a unit that uses four Efficient cores clocked at 3.4 GHz with a power consumption of only 6 W. So it is a solution that manages energy very economically. In order to dissipate heat well, it was decided to place the aforementioned passive cooling in the form of a large-area radiator. The integrated graphics system will allow in both cases to display the image in a maximum resolution of 4K at 60 fps. The board has one slot for DDR4 RAM (up to 32 GB). Three connectors are responsible for video outputs: D-Sub, HDMI and DisplayPort 1.4. We also have access to a Gigabit Ethernet port, HD Audio and PS/2.

ASRock A620-HDV/M.2 – we got to know the appearance of the first motherboard with the A620 chipset. A cheap option for Ryzen 7000X3D is coming?
The smaller brother was made in the Mini-ITX format. The most important feature here is the ability to power the motherboard via the DC port (19 V). So we are able to easily fit this model into a very small housing. As for the differences: we will not find a DisplayPort output here, but HDMI is in version 2.1 and uses TMDS technology. However, there was a place for a serial port. There is also no PCI Express slot with sixteen lanes. The rest of the specs are actually identical. In this case, we also have the option of installing a Wi-Fi card with places for antennas, we get a lot of USB 2.0 and 3.2 ports, and we also have access to two SATA 3 (6.0 GHz) connectors. At the moment, we do not know the prices or the release date. However, it must be admitted that both models have a lot of possibilities when it comes to their use, so with the right price, they can be a really interesting choice.
