Less than two months ago, Ubisoft officially presented Assassin’s Creed Mirage and shared a plan for further development of the franchise. The upcoming game starring Basim will return to the original Assassin’s Creed formula in many ways. We will move away from RPG elements to get a full-fledged production about assassins this time. However, Ubisoft did not present any material from the game during the first show, only a cinematic trailer. The premiere was supposed to take place in the first half of the year, but Tom Henderson points to the second delay of Ubisoft’s production.

According to informant Tom Henderson, Assassin’s Creed Mirage has been delayed again and instead of releasing in the first half of the year, we will wait for the game until August 2023.

According to the informant, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is currently scheduled for release in August 2023. Therefore, a fairly quiet month was chosen in the peak of the cucumber season, where there are not many AAA games on the market. Henderson points out in his articlethat the developers may have a problem with the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is therefore possible that Ubisoft first focused on polishing the version for the current generation, unlike, for example, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. If the game actually has a lot of problems on the old generation, it would certainly be wiser to just abandon PS4 / Xbox One and focus on polishing the PC / PS5 / Xbox Series version even better.

Tom Henderson in the same article also provided interesting information about the two announced games from the universe. Assassin’s Creed: Codename Red (working title) is a large RPG and stealth game that will take us to the times of Feudal Japan. The production reportedly encountered problems (some employees left due to abuses at Ubisoft), but at the current stage, the premiere is still planned for 2024. This is the first Assassin’s Creed created from scratch for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series. The second title – Assassin’s Creed: Codename Hex (also a working title) is about to enter full production, with the release internally scheduled for 2026.
