ASUS Zenbook S 13 this year will receive Intel Raptor Lake processors, Intel evo certification and a Lumina OLED screen

ASUS Zenbook S 13 this year will receive Intel Raptor Lake processors, Intel evo certification and a Lumina OLED screenLast year, ASUS introduced the ultra-slim Zenbook S 13 OLED ultrabook, which was based on AMD Ryzen 6000 processors (Rembrandt APU with low energy limit). The equipment generally looked very good, although due to the very slim design it was not possible to fully use the potential of the Rembrandt systems. This year, ASUS returns with the idea for Zenbook S 13 OLED, but instead of AMD Ryzen 7040 systems, we will get Intel Raptor Lake-U and Intel evo certification.

This year’s version of ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED (UX5304) will be equipped with Intel Raptor Lake-U processors. With the introduction of the new ultrabook, the manufacturer presents the Lumina OLED concept.

ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED 2023 will be equipped with i.a. into the ASUS Lumina OLED screen. This is a new marketing name for screens with self-emitting diodes. In terms of specifications, they will not differ from previous models (although the manufacturer declares that thanks to factory calibration, the average deltaE error for the DCI-P3 color space is less than 1 point). The ASUS software is supposed to protect the matrix, but in the event of pixel burnout during the hardware warranty period (in Poland it should be 2 years), the manufacturer declares free replacement of the matrix with a new one. ASUS also boasts that the new Zenbook S 13 OLED is the thinnest ultrabook on the market – its thickness is only 1 cm and weighs 1 kilogram. Admittedly, it sounds nice on paper, but we know from experience that such a reduction ultimately affects performance, temperatures and battery life.
