Chieftec announces the launch of new improved versions of the popular Scorpion and Stallion cases. All refreshed models have been marked with the letters “UC” in the manufacturer’s code. The already known cases have been slightly redesigned to provide even better functionality and faster data transfer via USB located on the front I/O panel. New products should appear on store shelves literally in a moment.

Chieftec announced the launch of new refreshed housings: SCORPION 3 (GL-03B-UC-OP), SCORPION 4 (GL-04B-UC-OP) and STALLION II (GP-02B-UC-OP) in June and the STALLION III model (GP-03B-UC-OP) in July this year. Each of the cases will get USB type C ports on the front I / O panel in the USB 3.2 Gen2x2 (20 Gb / s) version. This means that users will lose the availability of one USB 2.0 port. Ultimately, users will have at their disposal: USB 3.2 Gen2x2 type C, two USB 3.1 gen 1 and one USB 2.0.

Unfortunately, the manufacturer’s specifications and graphics do not show us other changes. The manufacturer limited itself only to changes within the I/O panel. Chieftec also did not share with us a specific release date or prices for refreshed product variants. However, we know that the period of the second and third quarter of this year will be a transitory period between the old and the new generation of cases. So if you’re looking for a case, it’s worth waiting for sales.
