Priyanka Chopra shares an exceptionally close bond with her parents. From a tattoo in honour of her late father to taking a girls’ trip with her mother, Priyanka Chopra has always been a doting daughter. Now, the actress who spent a large part of the year in the company of her mother has penned a heartfelt note about missing her mom, Madhu Chopra, as she returns home. Posting a selfie of the duo, clicked by Madhu Chopra, Priyanka shared a special message on Instagram. She wrote, “Will miss u mama. All these days of having u with me have ruined me! Come back soon!”

Reacting to the image, Priyanka Chopra’s Quantico co-star Russell Tovey replied with two heart-eye emojis. Belgian fashion legend, Diane von Furstenberg too dropped a comment that said, “Hi Mamma.”

The globe-trotting superstar always takes time to make special memories with her mother. On her mom’s birthday earlier this year, Priyanka Chopra shared a special video for her mother which contained an excerpt on her from Priyanka’s memoir, Unfinished.  The excerpt read: “My mother was a combination of intellect and allure. As she would get ready to meet guests, I would study her carefully applying her makeup, creams, and perfumes and then getting dressed for the evening. Her wardrobe was all colour – chiffon saris in floral prints and solid hot pinks, bright oranges, deep reds, golden yellows.”

The full text in the video adds, “Her long, dark hair hung to her waist, and she usually wore it down in a braid or in a bun at the nape of her neck. I loved watching her put on her makeup-kajal to line her eyes, lipstick, and always a red bindi in the center of her forehead. I longed to be like her someday: elegant, eloquent, impeccably dressed, impossibly glamorous. She exuded quiet confidence and total competence – which, together with her natural sense of style, made her magnetic. Whether she was dressed in a French chiffon sari for work or in a pair of white bell-bottoms and big sunglasses on vacation, she was the epitome of beauty in my eyes.”

“Happy birthday, mom. Missing our ritual of celebrating your special day together. Love you loads… see you real soon,” Priyanka Chopra said in the caption.

And, even when she is travelling the world, Priyanka Chopra makes time to keep in touch with her loved ones. This year, we saw her spend quality time with her brother, Siddharth Chopra as well. The siblings met and celebrated Raksha Bandhan together after five years. In a post, the actress said, “First time together in 5 years on Raksha Bandhan! Love you lil brother.” Also Happy Rakhi to my army of brothers! Sending love and rakhis wherever you are…expecting my gifts soon too – Love, Mimi.”
