Csaba-Berényi Gépgyártó Kft. from Mezőberény, which manufactures machine parts and steel structures, carried out equipment development worth half a billion forints.

HUF 350 million was obtained from the Economic Development and Innovation Operative Program (Ginop) Plusz framework, the intensity of the support was 70 percent, the remaining amount was provided on their own.

Four gas-powered forklift trucks, two different types of arc welding robotic cells, an engraving machine and a vertical machining center were purchased from the amount.

Founded in 1994, the company mainly deals with the design, development and production of chip transport equipment, as well as the production of steel structures. In Mezőberény, Békés County, they have a production hall of more than 12,000 square meters, 80 percent of which is equipped with a crane; and their warehouse area is four thousand square meters.

Thanks to the investment, they will be able to produce new welded structures, the product range will expand, and they hope to increase capacity by approximately 10 percent in the case of some welded structures.

The number of their employees is almost 200, which will be increased by at least five as a result of the investment. They received an additional grant of seven million forints from the Ginop plus fund for a forklift operator, bridge and crane operator course.

About 95 percent of the company’s sales revenue comes from foreign sales, with exports to Germany, Austria, Italy and the Netherlands.
