CSI Vegas Season 3 Release Date

Nobody was more devastated than me when CSI: Crime Scene Investigation ended in 2015. While it may have become a little far fetched in its later seasons, it was truly groundbreaking when first released in 2000.

We got 15 seasons and a few spin-offs (Miami, New York and Cyber) but none really compared to the original. Thankfully the creators came to their senses and finally went back to Las Vegas where it all began and brought us CSI: Vegas in 2021.

They dipped their toe into water rather tentatively with just 10 episodes. They even brought back William Petersen, Jorja Fox and Wallace Langham to lay the groundwork for the new show. And it worked.

Fans watched in their millions and broadcaster CBS quickly renewed it for a second season. This time with a full 21 episode order.

Paula Newsome heads up the cast but what a treat it was to see Marg Helgenberger back as Catherine Willows!

Again it was another big success for the Network who have confirmed that CSI: Vegas will be making its way to us in the near future. And for those who prefer to stream, the show is available on Paramount+.

So now we know CSI: Vegas season 3 is on the way – the big question is when will it be on Paramount+?

CSI: VEGAS SEASON 3 RELEASE DATE

CSI: Vegas makes up part of the fall schedule for CSB. Seasons tend to premier around October 6th, dropping episodes weekly until they go on Christmas break. Then they return to run their course until around May the following year.

CSI: Vegas season 3 should have followed that tried and tested path. However, the Writers Guild of America strike in 2023 has led to indefinite postponements of most tv timelines.

Whether or not that will effect the show’s production timelines remains to be seen. It may be that the season will have fewer episodes and return in early 2024 instead of the current intended date.

As always, as soon as we know the exact release date for CSI: Vegas season 3, we will let you know.

CSI VEGAS SEASON GUIDE

CSI: Vegas debuted on CBS on October 6, 2021. It is a follow-up to the long-running series CSI: Crime Scene Investigationand it is the fifth series in the CSI franchise.

The first season covered one major case. David Hodges was accused of tampering with evidence. If true, the entire crime lab could be brought down and thousands of convicted killers could be released back on to the streets.

So huge was the crisis that the lab’s chief Maxine Roby, had to enlist the help of old friends Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle.

Over ten episodes they followed the evidence and eventually got to the bottom of the whole saga. David Hodges was being framed. And they could prove it.

With the crisis averted, Grissom and Sidle headed off to go live on a boat and the CSI lab did what it does best – solved more crimes.

Season 2 returned with another batch of crimes

Catherine Willows returned to join the CSI team in the hopes of being to find a missing girl called Grace. Meanwhile it looks like a serial killer is at large in Vegas as a number of murders seem related.

Over quite a few episodes the team unravel the mystery and find the perpetrator. Thankfully, unlike the first season, the second reverted back to a more familiar style and didn’t have one giant arc over the 21 episodes.

That said, more time was focused on Josh Folsom’s life and his relationship with his family and friends.
