Chennai Super Kings won the match against Mumbai Indians by six wickets.
Madisha Pathirana bowled the 13th, 15th, 18th and 20th overs of the game and conceded only 15 runs and took three wickets. He was also selected as the man of the match. CSK captain Dhoni also praised him as he will be a great asset for Sri Lankan cricket.
After receiving the man of the match award, Pathirana said, “I came into the team as a substitute player. I played only two matches. I am happy to get more matches this season. This team management has instilled a lot of confidence in me. This is my best bowling in T20 cricket. I am very happy that I could contribute to the team’s success.” He was also asked about his special celebration.
“I’m a big fan of Cristiano Ronaldo. His celebrations are my inspiration!” Pathirana replied coolly.
