The first technology demos, which presented Ray Tracing technology, were able to make quite an impression in terms of realistic graphics. Over time, NVIDIA introduced a more advanced ray tracing technology called Path Tracing. One of the games that can benefit from it today is Cyberpunk 2077. It turns out that after introducing a few modifications, the visual layer is closer to the real one than ever before.
Cyberpunk 2077 with Path Tracing enabled is one of the best looking video games today. The effect can be even better when a few modifications are implemented in production.
Path Tracing allows you to achieve better results than Ray Tracing, but it requires much greater computational resources to operate and currently few people can afford to use this technology. However, once you have the right equipment and apply a few modifications to Cyberpunk 2077, you can achieve truly impressive results. The scenario in question was presented on the website X (Twitter) by the user MisterSpace3. You can see the effects of full Path Tracing enabled and several “mods”, some of which are just mentioned Nova LUT.

While watching the video – which, unfortunately, was only posted on the above-mentioned website, so it is of poorer quality and visible compression – you can sometimes forget that you are still dealing with a computer game. The vehicle models look simply great, and in many situations even real. NVIDIA’s technology has huge potential, although of course it still requires refinement. You might get the impression that we’re not that far away from the time when video games will look exactly like reality – or maybe even better. Already having efficient components, we can experience a taste of the future technology, which in many respects can be considered revolutionary.
