The launch of Diablo IV is imminent, but before you head out to explore Sanctuary, check out the system requirements for Blizzard’s latest game. Your best aid in assessing the situation will be a comprehensive comparison of AMD Radeon, Intel ARC and NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards, taking into account the most popular models, resolutions and settings. Will Diablo IV make computers red-hot by forging cages in hellfire? Theoretically, most sets, even several years old, should be able to handle it, because the beta showed that Diablo IV’s optimization is really good. If you are curious what equipment you need to calmly butcher the minions of darkness, I invite you to the list…

Name devil should be well known to all players, especially hack’n’slash enthusiasts, because it was the Blizzard brand that cemented the foundations of the genre. Although almost 27 years have passed since the premiere of the first installment, each subsequent part arouses great interest, attracting amateurs of chopping devil’s spawn in front of the monitors. There was no shortage of imitators, but only a few managed to stay in the collective consciousness for a long time, while Blizzard’s work enjoys unflagging popularity. Diablo IV somehow goes back to its roots, meeting the demands of most fans – it will be darker than its candy predecessor and more atmospheric, which resembles the original. The world of Sanctuary has also undergone a number of modifications, many new mechanics have been added, and key gameplay elements have been modernized. Ultimate owners got access to the content of 2.06, Diablo IV, the rest will be able to check out Diablo IV from 6.06.
Diablo IV is one of the most anticipated games of 2023. Whether the premiere will be successful, will be partly determined by the efficiency of the servers and optimization …
The developers provided four configurations for Diablo IV, describing the level of settings and performance we can expect quite accurately. The weakest set still remembers the times of Mieszko I, so even owners of computers over ten years old will play at least on the absolute minimum. However, you will have to settle for 1280×720 on the lowest settings. If we want to run 1920×1080 on medium, then a few years old machine from the middle shelf will be enough, which also makes us quite optimistic. It is only in the resolution of 1920×1080 with high details that a configuration that can be described as modern, although far from the top sets, will be necessary. Then there is a jump to 3840×2160 with Ultra details, which already require quite powerful graphics chips from the upper regions of the previous generation. Fortunately, everything looks very reasonable.

Diablo IV runs on a proprietary engine, created for the needs of production, whose strongest asset will not be the technical layer. Of course, the programmers took care of a number of modern graphic effects, good lighting, shading and textures, but the driving force behind Diablo IV is the style. Sombre, dark, depressing – the look of the world should satisfy the most hardcore devil fans who literally puked rainbows looking at Diablo III. Blizzard made a clear bow to the tribal elders, and maybe additionally wanted to steal players from the competition Path of Exilepraised, among other things, for its atmospheric setting. The PC version allows you to set a dozen different effects, and apparently the unspecified future may bring a patch that adds ray tracing. For now, let’s focus on the basics…
