Android 12 Based One UI 4.0 is Live for Samsung Galaxy A42

14 January 2022, and Samsung releases the Android 12 based One Ui 4.0 for yet another mid-range device, Galaxy A42. Labeled as A426BXXU3CUL9, the new firmware is currently exclusive for the devices in Poland. However, you can expect it to stretch over Europe in the upcoming weeks before getting entirely global. 

As usual, the update features all the Android 12 goodies alongside the brand new UI. Sadly, Galaxy A42 will still get the December 2021 security patch, whereas the January version is already out.

In case you’re from Poland and still waiting for the update to hit your device, I’d recommend manually checking if it is live. All that you’ll need to do is visit the Settings menu and hover over to the Software Update menu.

Samsung Galaxy S10 5G devices in the US and South Korea Gets One UI 4.0 Stable Version

While the third week of 2022, initiated with Galaxy A42 getting the stable update for One UI 4,0, the Galaxy S10 5G variant joined in days later. The Android 12 update is currently live for the US and South Korean market until the latest information.

2022’s first big update is finally live for the One Plus 9 and One Plus 9 Pro users. Started making headlines just a few hours back, One Plus has released the update featuring the 2022 January security patch for its latest flagship. However, the long changelog suggests it carry more than a security upgrade.

Tagged under C.44, the new firmware is already hitting the global stage (except the Chinese market). To talk about the update period, we already know One Plus believes in rolling out the OTA update in a manner that reaches only a small percentage at a time. So if you haven’t got the notification yet, there is nothing much to worry about.

One Plus Confirms No More Updates for One Plus 6 and One Plus 6T 

A piece of sad news for the One Plus 6 and One Plus 6T users is that one of the company representatives has confirmed that these devices will no longer receive updates. However, to be honest, we all knew it was coming. The last time these devices got a major firmware update was the one that featured OxygenOS 11, based on Android 11. It was followed by the December security patch last year.
