FurMark 2 is out of beta. The program offers a number of significant changes compared to its predecessorFurMark is a program used to test the stability of a graphics card, especially under maximum load of its power section. It performs worse in performance tests, but it still gained considerable popularity among hardware enthusiasts. The developers responsible for the application have recently released the first stable version of FurMark 2. Users can expect a number of significant changes that are the result of software modernization.

FurMark 2 offers significant changes compared to its predecessor. The software interface has been completely rebuilt. There’s also a new test that’s even more challenging for graphics cards.

FurMark receives official support for GeForce RTX 4000 SUPER and Radeon RX 7600 XT series graphics cards

FurMark 2 remained in beta as of September 2023. Most users were still using the previous edition of the software. After several months of waiting, the new version has been released stable and is now available downloads. It can be used by owners of Windows 32-bit, 64-bit and Linux 64-bit operating systems. The program uses the OpenGL 3.2 and Vulkan 1.1 APIs. It can be operated via the command line, as well as an optional graphical interface, which has been completely rebuilt compared to Furmark 1.

Users can use two tests: the round “donut” characteristic of the previous version (some changes have also been made here, however) and the new node test, which is even more demanding on the hardware. The creators also shared special page, where the results of tests performed using the software are saved. Furmark 2.1.0 also includes a number of smaller fixes compared to the beta version. Among other things, an error in displaying the name of longer graphics cards was fixed, an entry was added regarding the power consumption of NVIDIA systems when sending results to the server, and support for monitoring the operating parameters of several new GPUs was provided. As announced by the creators, subsequent versions of the program may add support for 32-bit Linux systems, Raspberry Pi and even MacOS.
