Google will solve one of the biggest problems with the Pixel 8 Pro with an update


Google has confirmed through Issue Tracker that the Always On Display mode discoloration issue on the Pixel 8 Pro is now resolved and that the solution to it “will be available in a future version of Android.”

It is quite common for the new flagships of large manufacturers to reach the market with some small failure or bug that brands are forced to solve with an OTA update which arrives a few days or a few weeks after its release. That’s what happened to both the iPhone 15 Pro, which suffered from an overheating problem that It was fixed with the arrival of iOS 17.0.3like the Google Pixel 8 Pro that still drags a discoloration issue in Always On Display mode.

Shortly after the launch of the Pixel 8 Pro, a user of the same shared the Always On Display mode discoloration issue on the big G issue tracker website, Google Issue Trackerand just yesterday a Google employee told this user and others who had complained about the same bug that this bug had already been resolved and that the solution “will be available in a future version of Android”.

Thus, it is most likely that the solution to this AOD mode problem on the Google Pixel 8 Pro will be included within the November 2023 security patch coming next week. In the event that Google has not had time to include it in said security update, the American giant can also implement it in the December Feature Drop.
