The third Test match of Border Gavaskar series between India and Australia started yesterday. India won the toss and were bowled out for 109 runs in the blink of an eye in the first innings. In the Indian team, Virat Kohli scored 22 runs and Gill, who replaced KL Rahul, scored 21 runs. Mathew Kunaman took 5 wickets in the Australian team.

Cameron Greene and Peter Handscomb who started the second day were taking their runs a bit more patiently. Ashwin took the wicket of Peter Handscomb who had scored 19 runs. With that, the Indian team got their first wicket today. Next came Cameron Green, LBW off Umesh Yadav.

Ashwin-Umesh Yadav bowled Australia’s lower-order batsmen to take their wickets one after the other. Australia lost six wickets in the last 11 runs and were all out. At the end of the first innings, Australia team was leading by 88 runs by scoring 197 runs.

Next, Rohit Sharma and Gill started the second innings on behalf of the Indian team. The Indian batsmen lost wickets in succession on Nathan Lyon’s tremendous spin. Gill was a clean bowler off the ball for five runs. Rohit Sharma got out as an lbw on Lion’s stunning spin again.
