Intel Core i9-13900HX performs better than Core i9-12900K and AMD Ryzen 9 7900X in the multi-threaded GeekBench testFor a long time, more information about the 13th generation of mobile processors from the Raptor Lake family has been appearing on the web. The new layouts will be unveiled next month and include the Raptor Lake-U, Raptor Lake-P, Raptor Lake-H and Raptor Lake-HX units. The latter is the only one that uses desktop Raptor Lake-S models, which, however, have been moved to a laptop BGA housing. A few days ago we informed about the work on the Core i9-13980HX processor, while today the Core i9-13900HX chip appeared in the GeekBench database. For a mobile processor, it performs really well.

The mobile Intel Core i9-13900HX processor was tested in the GeekBench program. Its multi-threaded score is higher than the desktop models Core i9-12900K and AMD Ryzen 9 7900X.

Intel Core i9-13900HX is a 24-core and 32-thread processor (8 Performance cores with Hyper Threading support and 16 Efficient cores without HT). According to the specifications from GeekBench, its base clock is 2.2 GHz (probably for P-Core cores), while the maximum reported clock in Turbo mode is 5.4 GHz. This system also offers the same cache memory subsystem as the desktop Core i9-13900K. It also has an integrated UHD Graphics 770 graphics chip and a 2-channel DDR5 5600 MHz and DDR4 3200 MHz controller. How does it fare in GeekBench tests?

In the case of one thread, we are talking about a score of 2039 points – slightly higher than most Core i9-12900K scores (between 1900-2000 points), with the most twisted versions reaching even 2100 points. The single-threaded score of the Core i9-13900HX also turns out to be slightly weaker than the desktop AMD Ryzen 9 7900X model (around 2100 points). In the multi-threaded test, however, the new Raptor Lake-HX system is ahead of the already mentioned Zen 4 processor (this one achieves results in GeekBench mostly between 17,000 and 20,000 points depending on the platform and OC degree). The Core i9-13900HX is also better than the Core i9-12900K, whose scores reach 16,000-19,000 points (also depending, among others, on the OC) and the Core i9-12900KS (18,500-20,200 points in the GeekBench database).
