During this year’s CES in Las Vegas, Intel focused primarily on the 13th generation Raptor Lake mobile processors and desktop “Non-K” chips, i.e. those with reduced energy limits. This spring, however, the flagship unit of the 13th generation Raptor Lake-S – Core i9-13900KS – will also be available for sale, which is to offer clocks at up to 6 GHz right out of the box. Intel once again presented the upcoming processor. The published demo is primarily intended to confirm how this processor will work.
Intel has published a short video showing the Core i9-13900KS processor in action. The video shows the achievement of a clock speed of 6.0 GHz without any form of additional OC, and such a clock will be possible on 1-2 Performance cores (Raptor Cove).

A little over 4 minutes long, the video shows the performance of the 24-core, 32-thread Intel Core i9-13900KS processor. According to information from the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. the top Raptor Lake-S processor will clock up to 6.0 GHz on up to two simultaneously loaded cores. With a load of 3 to 8 P-Cores, the clock speed will be maintained at 5.6 GHz. For E-Core cores it will be 4.3 GHz respectively. Therefore, a very powerful processor for games and programs is being prepared, especially where single thread performance will be important.

We also know from previous information that the base coefficient PL1 (Processor Base Power) for the Intel Core i9-13900KS will be increased to 150 W, while PL2 (Maximum Turbo Power) will be maintained at 253 W. However, the film shows a short moment that the power limit of the processor has been increased to 300 W anyway. The material states that the Core i9-13900KS system will soon appear in stores, but we still do not know the exact date, as well as the official MSRP price for the top 13th generation system.
