4/90, 7/56 and 84 runs vs Pakistan:
In 1980, Pakistan had two wins in a three-match Test series against Pakistan. A stunning performance was needed to prevent India from being whitewashed by Pakistan. Kapil played that amazing game and waited for the honor of the Indian team once again.
Kapil Dev took four wickets with his arms in the first innings. He took seven wickets in the second innings too for a total of 11 wickets in one game. Kapil also played well with the bat and scored 84 runs in 38 balls. Kapil gave his best in batting and bowling and India won the match by ten wickets. It also escaped being whitewashed by Pakistan.
It was the third Test against South Africa in 1992. In the second innings, India were playing badly at 27/5. Kapil came in as the fifth player to save the Indian team. With the tail enders batsmen, he saved the Indian team from slump and scored 129 runs. India scored 215 runs thanks to Kapil’s action. Chasing 153 runs, South Africa won easily. Kapil’s knock of 129, despite missing out on the victory, turned out to be a memorable game.
