The factory set also includes an adjustable support, effective backlight and the ability to control parameters using a mobile application. The most important thing, however, will be the efficiency of the cooling system, which usually did not disappoint in the KFA2 version.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4000 family of graphics cards is based on the architecture Ada Lovelace, which has undergone a number of improvements compared to Ampere powering the GeForce RTX 3000 series. First of all, much more Cache L2 memory has been added, GPC blocks have been rebuilt, 4th generation Tensor units and 3rd generation RT units have been introduced. The manufacturer’s primary goal was to maximize ray tracing performance and improve the DLSS technique. This is where the most serious modifications were made, because DLSS 3 will not only upscale the image, but also multiply the number of animation frames, while eliminating bottleneck on the part of the processor. However, DLSS 3 only runs on Ada Lovelace chips because it requires new computing units integrated in 4th generation Tensors. 5nm TSMC lithography was also used, which allows 2.5x more transistors to be crammed into a similar surface area, and additionally achieve high clock speeds. Compared to its predecessors, you can expect a 60-70% increase in rasterization performance, even 100% in ray tracing and 100-400% in DLSS.

KFA2 GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super EX Gamer is one of the cheaper models available on store shelves, but it is solidly made and well-equipped, so it is certainly worth closer attention.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER has undergone major changes compared to its predecessor, based on the AD103 chip instead of AD104, which is also used in NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 / RTX 4080 SUPER models. The core area and the number of transistors are much larger, but the 48 MB L2 cache remains unchanged. Interestingly, the TDP factor is still 285 W, identical to the older model. About 10% of the execution units have been added, but serious confusion occurs in the case of ROPs, the number of which was most likely incorrectly entered in the tables. The official NVIDIA specification provided 112 ROPs, which would correspond to the value found in the more powerful NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080, while the software (HWiNFO / GPU-Z) consistently reports 96 ROPs. All together it brings a few extra percentages of performance, but the final results also depend on the specific model and energy limits that affect the actual clock speed under load.

The biggest changes occurred in the memory subsystem, where instead of 12 GB GDDR6X on a 192-bit bus, we received 16 GB GDDR6X on a 256-bit bus. I would like to write – finally! Even the basic NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti should have this much, especially since it had a quite powerful graphics system, which was blocked at high resolutions by the relatively low capacity and VRAM bandwidth. It didn’t look very interesting, considering the direct competitor in the form of the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT, with 20 GB GDDR6 on a 320-bit bus. The good news is that the MSRP price is maintained at the level of the older model, which has obviously become cheaper in the meantime, although basic versions should be available from PLN 3,999. The regular NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti started at PLN 4,399. The reviewed KFA2 GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super EX Gamer, on the other hand, is a slightly overclocked design, well-made and equipped.
