Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition - premiere on the Nintendo Switch console. Performance and graphics comparisonNintendo Switch is a phenomenon in the world of portable game consoles, after all, 7 years have passed since its premiere, and the device is not only still selling quite well, but also its game library is growing every year. This time, an RPG production called Kingdom Come: Deliverance debuted. The studio responsible for this port, Saber Interactive, has gained a lot in the eyes of players because the title is well optimized – although it does not look the best.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition is another port from Saber Interactive studio, which proves again that the possibilities of the Nintendo Switch console are still quite extensive. The production has lower graphics quality than other platforms, but it is well optimized.

Nintendo Direct – all the news from the game show. Games from Microsoft and a remake of Epic Mickey are coming to the Nintendo Switch console

The above-mentioned Saber Interactive studio is also responsible for the successful port of The Witcher 3 to the Nintendo Switch console. The recently completed task was certainly equally demanding, as we are talking about another open-world production that can still be a challenge for many hardware configurations. Looking at the screenshots below, it is clearly visible that the creators had to significantly reduce the level of graphics, but the players reacted quite positively because they expected something much worse. There also doesn’t seem to be any major changes apart from the graphical downgrade, which is quite impressive and proves that many manufacturers are simply “lazy” these days.

Kingdom Come Deliverance: second DLC on the horizon

In terms of gameplay fluidity, it’s quite good. Most of the time, players can count on a constant 30 fps, but in more demanding sceneries the frame rate may drop to around 22-25 FPS, which gives a more “cinematic” experience. The production enjoys very good reviews on both Metacritic (8.1/10) and the Steam platform (82% positive ratings) – in the case of other consoles and PC. In mid-February 2024, the creators boasted that over 6 million copies of the game had already been sold. The edition with a physical cartridge can be purchased for PLN 186, while the digital edition of the title costs PLN 199 in the eShop. Nintendo Switch seems to be an immortal console at the moment, which can only change with the arrival of the next generation.
