Master & Dynamic, maker of some of the best noise-canceling earphones around, has today unveiled a brand new design for its MW08 true wireless earphones as well as a new wireless charging pad.
The MW08 sport earphones are a fresh design take on the MW08, released back in March to replace the MW07.
The new MW08 sport headphones are targeted specifically at those looking for a premium workout set of earbuds. They feature shatter-resistant sapphire glass on the body, as well as a Kevlar fiber case, designed to give you maximum protection whilst not compromising on looks (and believe me they look good).
They also come with new foam ear tips in five different sizes, and wireless charging that’s good for up to 42 hours of battery life (or 42 one-hour workouts) before you’ll need to charge them again.
“Kevlar® is hard to match when it comes to a strength-to-weight ratio.,” M&D’s founder and CEO Jonathan Levine said. Levine says that the company also plans to invest more in wireless charging, a welcome upgrade. (You can also charge the MW08 Sport using a USB-C cable.
Sound quality comes by way of 11mm Beryllium drivers and Qualcomm’s Hybrid Active Noise-Cancellation that has two ambient listening modes, a bit like the transparency mode of AirPods Pro.
Battery life is 12 hours with an additional 30 hours of charge from the case (42 overall), and you can also charge them through M&D’s brand new MC100 wireless charger. This stunning new charger has a coated canvas surface and a wild aluminum base for heat dissipation that doubles as a stunningly unique design. It comes in two colors silver/grey and gunmetal/black (pictured).
Master & Dynamic’s new MW08 Sport Active Noise-cancelling true wireless headphones are available now for $349/£329, and its MC100 pad is $69/$59.
