Days after winning the title of Masterchef Australia season 13, 27-year-old Indian origin contestant Justin Narayan tied the knot with Esther Smoothy, his girlfriend of two years.

The couple reportedly exchanged vows in Perth in the presence of family and friends as well as fellow Masterchef 2021 participants Pete Campbell, Brent Draper, Minoli De Silva and Amir Manoly. Justin Narayan had earlier said that the prize money of $250,000 he won from the show would be invested in buying a property. “I need to get some more work done in the kitchen and go from there. I’ll try and make some smart investments, and I’ll start to create some online content,” the 27-year-old had said.

“But I need experience in the kitchen to work towards opening up my own place,” Justin Narayan had added. He also thanked his then girlfriend Esther Smoothy who supported him throughout his Masterchef journey and said, “You are so incredibly beautiful, and I love you very much, and I’m sorry for not planning the wedding for the last six months, but I think I can pay for it now.”

Justin Narayan won the 13th season of Masterchef Australia after beating finalists Kishwar Chowdhury and Pete Campbell. Speaking about the victory, the young chef had stated, “I feel incredibly honoured and humbled to have that title and to be able to win this competition. I’m genuinely going to take a week to process this and let it sink in, and then I’ll, like, write you an email, let you know how I feel.”
