There is no denying that the use of the Sony PlayStation 5 console is ultimately more expensive than the use of the Xbox Series X. The Microsoft console is not only cheaper, but also offers an extremely affordable and extensive Game Pass, and even AAA games can be purchased in a significant lower price. However, it looks like it won’t get any better, because Microsoft is also now forced to raise prices. So far, it has been announced that new hit titles will increase the price by $ 10.
You will have to pay over PLN 300 for next year’s hits on Xbox, i.e. as much as, for example, for God of Wara Ragnarök on PlayStation 5. For many Game Pass subscribers, the information about the higher prices of Microsoft’s games will be rather meaningless, but it is possible that the giant is preparing further increases.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage to be released in August 2023 – the reason for the delay may be the PlayStation 4 / Xbox One versions
It seems that everything is explained in the official statement from Microsoft on this matter, which reads as follows: “We’ve held off price increases until the end of the summer so that families can enjoy the games. Starting in 2023, our new next-gen full-priced games like Forza Motorsport, Redfall and Starfield will be available for $69.99 on all platforms (currently $59.99). This price reflects the content, scale and technical complexity of these titles, and as with all games developed by our teams at Xbox, they will also be available on Game Pass on the same day they are released. “
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will debut on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass in a few days
This means that you will have to pay over PLN 300 for next year’s hits on Xbox, i.e. as much as, for example, for God of Wara Ragnarök on PlayStation 5. It is worth noting that Sony offers its AAA titles at prices from 49.99 to 69, $ 99, however, games land on PlayStation Plus many months after the release. For many Game Pass subscribers, the information about the higher prices of Microsoft’s games will be meaningless, but it is possible that the giant is also preparing further increases. It is worth recalling the words of Phil Spencer (CEO of Microsoft Gaming) from October this year: “We’ve kept our console prices, we’ve kept our games and our subscription prices. But I don’t think we’ll be able to do that indefinitely.”
