“Mom Is Always Right,” Wrote Navya Naveli. Shweta Bachchan Nanda’s Reaction

The Bachchan family is a close-knit one and there is ample proof of this on social media. In particular, Amitabh Bachchan‘s bond with his daughter Shweta Bachchan and granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda is well-known. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that when the trio came together for an episode of the quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), hosted by Amitabh Bachchan it was fun galore. Now, entrepreneur Navya Naveli Nanda has shared a bunch of pictures from the sets of the game show. In the post, Navya Naveli Nanda wrote about Shweta Bachchan: “Yes mom, you are always right!” In the photos, the mother-daughter duo is seen laughing, cheering and high-fiving each other while on the show. Reacting to the photos, Angad Bedi wrote, “So nice,” with a heart emoji. 

Navya Naveli Nanda and Shweta Bachchan graced the show to mark 1,000 episodes of KBC spanning over 21 years. To mark the milestone, Navya Nanda had shared another set of pictures of herself, her mother and her grandfather. Sharing the images, Navya Nanda wrote, “21 years & 999 episodes later…” Reacting to the post, Shweta Bachchan wrote, “Thanks for doing this to me. Revenge is a dish best served cold.” Sonali Bendre and Maheep Kapoor replied with heart emojis.

Navya Naveli Nanda and Shweta Bachchan were not alone in making the episode a special one. Veteran actress and Amitabh Bachchan’s wife, Jaya Bachchan also joined the episode virtually and was seen pulling her husband’s leg. A promo of the episode was shared on Instagram by Sony Entertainment in which Jaya Bachchan can be heard saying, “Aap inko phone kariye, kabhi phone uthate nahi. (If you call him, he’ll never pick up)”  Amitabh Bachchan tries to defend himself by saying, “Internet agar gadbad hai toh hum kya kare bhai” (What can I do with the internet if it is fluctuating).”

 However, Shweta Bachchan is quick to chip in by saying, “Social media pe photo lagayenge, tweet karenge. (He will share photos on social media and tweet from his account.)” Navya Naveli joins in by asking, “Jab hum parlour se aate hai, nani ko aap bolte hai ki aap itni achi lag rahi hai. Jhoot bol rahe hai hume ya actually ache lag rahe hai? (When we return from the parlour and you tell Jaya she looks good, are you really telling the truth?)”  Amitabh Bachchan quickly says, “Jaya, kitni achi lag rahi hai aap.’ (Jaya, you look beautiful)”. Jaya Bachchan replies, “Jhooth bolte hue bilkul ache nahi lagte.’ (You don’t look nice when you lie),” causing Amitabh Bachchan to say, “Arre yaar” as  Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan and Navya Naveli erupt in giggles.
