Anthanan is currently a very popular journalist with his web chat YouTube channel. He has worked as a journalist in many Tamil magazines. Anthanan has been close to actor Srikanth since the day he made his debut in the movie “Roja Kootam”.
Oscar Ravichandran produced the movie “Roja Kootam” directed by Sasi. While the film was being made, Sashikum producer Ravichandran had an argument and the shooting was stopped.
Srikanth was sitting down thinking that his first film was stopped in the middle like this. In this situation, Anthanan told Srikanth, “Fall straight at Oskar Ravichandran’s feet. Tell me this movie is my life. He will definitely start the film again,” he opined.
Accordingly Srikanth went straight to the producer’s house and fell at his feet. Seeing Srikanth’s condition, Ravichandran started shooting the film for him. After this incident, Anthanan became a very close friend of Srikanth.
A few years later, Anthanan produced the film “East Coast Road” with Srikanth. This movie was released in 2006. Anthanan faced many problems during the making of the film. In an interview about this, Anthanan was heartbroken and shared.
“If God appeared before me and gave me the grace to erase a year from my memory, I would erase 2006 from my memory. Just thinking back to that year gives me hellish pain. I have never experienced such ugliness and humiliation in my life.
I had a box set of the movie East Coast Road in my house. I even picked up the box and threw it in the sea so that there would be no trace of the film being taken. Only after that I became a new person,” said Anthanan.
He further said, “I have no problem with Srikanth in the film. I didn’t have to make that film. A friend of mine is very rich. He very enthusiastically financed the film. Due to some incidents, he left the film halfway through. After that, by the time I struggled to bring the film out, it was as if it had taken on a new life. I want to forget those incidents,” he said very heartbrokenly.
