Netflix will open an engineering center in Poland working on global solutions for the VOD service

Netflix is ​​a streaming service that needs no introduction. It is actively used by 223 million users in over 190 countries, including Poland, of course. Speaking of Poland – some time ago a regional Netflix office was opened in our country, and today the construction of an engineering center planned for many months in Warsaw was announced. Engineers will have an impact on how Netflix creates and produces its greatest hits.

The year 2022 was an important moment in the history of Netflix in Poland. After six years of presence on the market, the company opened an office for Central and Eastern Europe in Warsaw. Netflix has also produced over 30 Polish films and series – only last year, the service allocated PLN 400 million for local productions, and since 2018, it has created over 3,500 jobs in its own productions: for Polish actors, screenwriters, directors and crews working on the set and beyond, which are the backbone of every production. The next step and investment on the Polish market is the creation of the aforementioned engineering center.

The center’s tasks will include the creation of products and services used by internal and external Netflix partners who produce and manage content on the service. The solutions that the team from Warsaw will be working on will enable the entire content production process, from idea to implementation and publication on the website, and provide new ways of managing entertainment on a global scale. At the beginning, the service plans to hire dozens of engineers who will work in the regional office in Warsaw. We are currently recruiting business application software engineers.
