There are currently as many as four variants of the GeForce RTX 3060 card available on the world market. The latest reports indicate that NVIDIA could prepare one more variant of this GPU. A variant has been added to the TechPowerUp database that stands out, among other things, with an unusual amount of CUDA cores and VRAM. It was suspected that this was just an engineering sample, but reports indicate that the card may have actually hit the OEM market.
According to available information, NVIDIA may have launched another variant of the GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card. The card is to have 3840 CUDA cores and 6 GB of GDDR6 memory by default, but there are also rumors of proprietary editions with 12 GB VRAM.

The noted graphics card, like most of its counterparts, is based on the GA106 graphics core and has several special features. The number of CUDA cores has been increased to 3840. The standard GeForce RTX 3060 card has 3584. The GPU also has a higher number of active SM blocks and Tensor cores – 30 and 120 respectively. The base clock value of the system is 1627 MHz, compared to 1320 MHz of the regular model. In boost mode, the card is supposed to reach up to 1852 MHz. The whole is characterized by FP32 power of 14.2 TFLOPS. The most interesting, however, is the issue of memory. According to the data provided, the reference model has 6 GB of GDDR6 memory and an unusual bandwidth of 336 GB / s. However, there are also versions personalized by manufacturers with 12 GB VRAM on board.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 the most popular graphics card of 2022 in Google search statistics
Although the information indicates that the card is available from 2021, it is up to the database TechPowerUp just got it a few hours ago. Initially, it was suspected that it was just an engineering sample. The GPU in question is extremely rare on the market, but the entry suggests that many graphics card manufacturers have released their own versions. Designs from ASUS, Gigabyte and MSI are to be available. It is speculated that the GPU could have hit the OEM market, which may be confirmed by the presence of models from companies such as Dell or HP.

It is worth noting that in the case of the variant with 6 GB of memory, we can talk about a serious limitation of the potential of the system. If someone is serious about playing the latest titles, it is currently reasonable to choose a card with at least 8 GB VRAM. As already mentioned, the list of models available on the market also includes proprietary variants of an unusual card with 12 GB of memory. Due to slightly better parameters than the standard version, you can expect increased performance. It could certainly attract the attention of some customers. However, this is mainly speculation, because we do not know the price of the card and there is no indication that the system will appear outside the OEM market.
