The French manufacturer has flashed the future of its electric cars.
It’s already in full swing in Las Vegas CES 2023, where this year’s most exciting technological developments are presented. Car manufacturers have also been regularly represented at the event for a few years now, since with the appearance of the electric drive and the digital solutions used in cars, vehicles have already become an important part of the online space.
At this year’s CES, several major car brands have already presented their latest developments, such as Volkswagen’s spectacular camouflage-painted sedanor the The electric car jointly developed by Sony and Honda. And the latest announcement is the Peugeot came from his team, who came to Las Vegsab with an extraordinary-looking concept car – it says Electrek.
The Peugeot Inception concept car catches the eye at first glance: unusually sharp shapes, surprising angles and shapes characterize the vehicle, which will serve as inspiration and inspiration for future electric cars of the French brand.
The concept is not only astonishing from the outside, the interior is also radically different from that of a traditional car. It can be assumed that not all of the solutions shown here will be included in the serial production models, in fact, it is likely that future Peugeot owners will encounter most of them in a thoroughly tamed version at most, regardless, it is worth looking around the Inception area, because it can be revealing about future developments -a detail.
At first glance, the Peugeot Inception gives the impression of a classic GT touring car, with its long hood and coupe-like rear, where the sharpest corner is located. However, if we don’t see the car from the side, it becomes clear that the long hood does not exist, because its place is taken by the windshield that extends beyond the front wheel.
The soul of the car is provided by a double electric motor system, which together is capable of 680 horsepower. This accelerates the car from a standstill to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds. The two resources are powered by a 100 kilowatt-hour battery, which results in a range of 800 kilometers on a single charge. This still falls short of what was recently presented Geely Zeekr with a range of 1000 kilometersfrom, but this is already a distance that no gasoline-blooded skeptic can sneer at.
This result is due to the car’s efficiency, with an average consumption of approximately 12.5 kWh per hundred kilometers, which is only slightly behind what is currently considered the most streamlined electric car in the world. Lightyear 0-from. They didn’t reveal much about the charging speed, but they hinted that the action of Inception can absorb a range of 150 kilometers in just 5 minutes.
The interior could have come from any sci-fi spaceship, perhaps the most interesting solution is the rectangular steering wheel with rounded corners, which actually means a rotating screen. Peugeot doesn’t even call the device a steering wheel, but a Hypersquare. By the way, the steering is electronic (steer-by-wire), i.e. the steering wheel is not physically connected to the axle.
