The England team has come to India to play a 5-match Test series against India.
England won the first match by 28 runs in Hyderabad. However, in the second match held in Visakhapatnam, they performed well in both batting and bowling and defeated the England team by a margin of 106 runs. Gill scored a century in this second match.
Speaking after the match, Subman Gill said, “I took a catch in the over bowled by Kuldeep. Then the ball hit my hand and it bled. I was in pain so I brought a pain reliever injection to bat and batted. I haven’t played well in the last few matches.
I had a crisis because of this. I didn’t think about anything though. I stood on the field wanting to be myself and play. When I returned after being dismissed for 104 runs, my father called me and scolded me that I was out for just 104 runs.
I told you that it is true that I made a mistake. Playing for the Indian team is my gift. If I don’t play well and get any criticism, I won’t mind it,” he said.
