In 1984, the movie “Jiyukkai” was released with Sivaji Ganesan, Ambika, Pandian, Silk Smita, Jaishankar in the lead roles. The film was directed by CV Rajendran. The film was produced by Chitra Lakshmanan.
One day after the shooting of the film was over, Chitra Lakshmanan went to see Sivaji Ganesan in person. Then Sivaji Ganesan said, “Have you seen the whole movie of life? How did the film come?” He asked.

Life is the second film I have produced. But for Shivaji it was the 242nd film. I said to such an actor, ‘Your performance could have been a little better’. Shivaji Ganesan also agreed to act in that scene.
