One UI 5.1 will debut together with the Galaxy S23, but it will not be an exclusive version of these: it will arrive on other brand devices soon.

Next February 1 we have an appointment with Samsung. The South Korean company will finally present its new series Galaxy S23, and next to it will introduce a new One UI versionits Android-based software.
For a few weeks, we know that Said software will arrive under the name of One UI 5.1 and will be based on Android 13. Now, thanks to Samsung itself, we have been able to know what are the first devices that they will receive the update.
Samsung will bring One UI 5.1 to its latest high-end models
In a document corresponding to the list of changes of a new firmware update aimed at series models Galaxy Watch5Samsung has confirmed that one of the new features introduced with the update will only be available on the brand’s models updated to One UI 5.1.
It also specifies which terminals will receive said update. In total, there are thirteen models of the Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series:
- Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
- Samsung Galaxy S22+
- Samsung Galaxy S22
- Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra
- Samsung Galaxy S21+
- Samsung Galaxy S21
- Samsung Galaxy S21 FE
- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4
- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3
- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2
It is not clear if other previous models of the brand, or those corresponding to other ranges, will receive the update later. What seems evident is that the thirteen models mentioned above will be the first to update to One UI 5.1.
About what’s new in this version of Samsung’s customization layer, not much is known yet. However, they are expected to include What’s new in the camera app and other performance improvements in some of the pre-installed apps.
