Xiaomi has in fact compared the number of system apps of MIUI 14 with those of One UI and iOS in an advertising image.

In China, in fact, there are only 7 pre-installed apps on firm phones. We assume that the 8 that we will receive in the global market are due to particularities between regions, rather than an express wish of the manufacturer.

Synchronization with Google Photos

Protection against viruses and scams

MIUI 14 will have a protection system that will notify the user when an app pose a high risk for the integrity of the terminal. The user will also be notified when they receive text messages that may be a scam, something very useful considering the SMS phishing scams.
