The 77 Electronics Group continued to expand

77 ING Kft., which belongs to the 100% Hungarian 77 Elektronika Group, bought Metal-Ware Kft., which deals with sheet metal technology. With its acquisition, the goal of the domestic medical technology company is to continue to be able to ensure the smooth delivery of the disk components required for the urine testing machines manufactured by 77 Elektronika. The foreign trade of automatic laboratory systems for urine analysis based on UriSed technology provides more than 80 percent of the company’s turnover, and its products are exported to nearly 100 countries globally.

After several years of successful business cooperation, in a new form and ownership structure, but with the usual quality, 77 Elektronika Group and Metal-Ware Kft. from Balatonlelle, currently employing more than 60 people, continue their joint work. One of the biggest customers of the company dealing with sheet metal technology is It was purchased by 77 ING Kft., headquartered in Balatonfüred, which belongs to the 77 group of companies, in order to ensure the continuous and high-quality delivery of parts for its medical devices.

The acquisition fully fits into the strategy of the 77 Elektronika Group, as one of the largest companies in the Hungarian medical technology industry aims to have the parts and consumables required for the operation of the urine testing machines developed by it manufactured in-house. In this spirit, the company bought the German Analyticon AG two years ago, which produced urine reagent strips for the Hungarian side.

Another argument in favor of the acquisition was that Metal Ware Kft. has modern machinery and a robotic plant, where they can cover the entire sheet metal production vertical, from their cutting to painting. All this guarantees the supply of plate and chipped parts for 77 Elektronika.

In 2022, Metal-Ware Kft., with sales revenue of more than HUF 1.3 billion, will continue its activities as part of the 77 Elektronika group of companies in the future, but will continue to operate under its own brand name, with the prospect of further staff and machine park expansion together with the new owner.

77 Elektronika Group, which employs no less than 700 people in its factories in Budapest and Balatonfüred, including more than 120 development engineers, makes up the majority of its exports from the sale of automatic urine analysis systems based on UriSed technology, which gives the company a significant share of the world market. The EU, the United States, China, Brazil and the countries of the Far East are the largest receiving markets, but they export to nearly 100 countries in total. 77 Elektronika reinvests an average of 6-7 percent of sales revenue into the development of new products and technologies every year.
