Anyone who watched The Devil’s Plan when it was released in September 2023 will know how addictive it is.
The South Korean reality game show saw twelve contestants compete in a series of competitive strategy games until only one was left standing, claiming the cash prize.
And boy oh boy were those games complicated! In fact, even hearing the rules being read out would confuse just about anybody watching at home. So we can only imagine how tough it was for the players!
But once the games got under way, the strategies became clear as we cheered on our favorites to outwit and out play their competitors.
And Netflix eeked it out, much in the same way they did with their other hit show, Physical 100by only dropping a couple of weekly episodes, leaving us hanging and wanting more.
So if you loved the show as much as we did, you probably want to hear some good news about The Devil’s Plan season 2. And we’re here to deliver!
THE DEVIL’S PLAN SEASON 2 RELEASE DATE
The good news is that Netflix has renewed The Devil’s Plan season 2. And it didn’t even take that long!
Given that it shot into Netflix’s Top 10 TV series in 23 countries and captivated global viewers, the green light for a second season wasn’t much of a surprise.
Directed by Jung Jong-yeon who is best known for producing the popular reality shows The Genius, Society Game and The Great Escapethe show was filmed over seven days with players competing twice a day to earn gold pieces.
It all came down to two players with the crown only going to one of them. No spoilers in case you haven’t seen it, but the most strategic player definitely won.
So now we know that The Devil’s Plan season 2 has been confirmed, when can we expect to see it?
All we know is that it will air in 2024. That is largely because Netflix only made the announcement on November 6th 2023.
But as soon as we have an exact date, we will let you know!
THE DEVIL’S PLAN RECAP
If you haven’t seen it, or simply need a little refresher, The Devil’s Plan worked like this…
Ten celebrities and two non-celebs started the game and were initially given one “Piece”.
Each day two games were held. The first was a competitive Main Match where players had to win additional pieces based on the rules of the game.
However, there were also deductions of ‘pieces’ for those who played badly. If a player was left with no Pieces they were eliminated.
Every evening, the players then had to work together in the Prize Match where they had to win games ot add money to the prize pot.
This process was repeated through a series of deduction games, board games, card games and abstract strategy games, for seven days until only two players remained.
They then went head-to-head over a series of shorter games until one was crowned the champion.
WHO WON THE DEVIL’S PLAN?

The first winner was Ha Seok-jin, a South Korean actor. He has previously starred in hit shows such as Radiant Office (2017), Drinking Solo (2016) and 4 Legendary Witches (2014).
Born in Seoul, South Korea, he has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Hanyang University, has completed his military service and you can catch him in the hit series, Blind which was released in 2022.
