The Lincoln Lawyer was a huge hit for Netflix when it was released in May 2022.
Netflix reported that fans viewed more than 260.53 million hours of the show which reached the Top 10 in 90 countries.
Based on the character Mickey Haller, from the Michael Connelly books, The Lincoln Lawyer followed the idealistic lawyer as he returned to work following his recovery from a surfing accident.

Mickey Haller is a decent lawyer but one who struggled with pain killer addiction following an accident.
Back and clean, he is trying to grow his business when a fellow defense attorney, Jerry Vincent, is murdered, leaving his thriving practice to Haller.
With that new workload comes a huge murder trial. Trevor Elliott is a tech genius accused of murdering his wife and her lover and it’s up to Haller and his team to prove him innocent.
But all does not run smooth when Elliott refuses a continuance in the trial leaving Haller with almost no time to prep for the trial.
Throw in his other clients, an ex-wife who he still loves and expectations from his assistant Lorna and PI Cisco and Mickey Haller is soon spinning more plates than he can handle.
The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 Release Date
Thankfully the drama of Mickey Haller’s life won’t end with one season.
The verdict is in and Netflix has announced it has renewed The Lincoln Lawyer for a second season.
But for fans of the show, the big question is when is it coming to Netflix?? I mean, seriously, it’s been nearly a year and there’s radio silence!
Well, we have a little update for Mickey Haller fans. The second season is officially in the bag with filming wrapping on March 23rd, 2023.
Now of course there’s post-production. The first season took 10 months to get to our screens from that point.
Fingers crossed it won’t take that long this time around, but either way, we should be looking at the end of 2023 to see The Lincoln Lawyer season 2.
The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 – What Will Happen?
The good news is that we have a rough idea of what will happen in The Lincoln Lawyer season 2.
We know that it will have 10 episodes and will be based on the fourth book in the series, The Fifth Witness.
The plot of The Fifth Witness is that Haller is called on to defend a long-standing client, Lisa Trammel, when she is suspected of murdering the wealthy Mitchell Bondurant.
With Trammel seemingly incapable of committing the crime and the victim’s association with organized crime a major factor, Haller sets about demolishing the prosecution’s case.
For season 2, fan favorite Manuel Garcia-Rulfo is back to reprise his role as Mickey Haller.
He will also be joined by Neve Campbell (Maggie McPherson), Becki Newton (Lorna), Jazz Raycole (Izzy), and Angus Sampson (Cisco).
How Many Episodes Of The Lincoln Lawyer Are On Netflix?
Season 1 of The Lincoln Lawyer has 10 episodes. Each features a smaller criminal case that Mickey Haller must deal with.
However, over the course of the season, one large case dominates most of the storyline.
That looks set to be the same for season 2 as the storyline is dominated by one client, Lisa Trammel.
Season 2 will also have ten episodes.
Is The Lincoln Lawyer On Amazon Or Netflix?
The Lincoln Lawyer is a Netflix original so it can only be watched on Netflix.
Michael Connelly also wrote Bosch novels and they have been adapted by Amazon Prime.
With seven seasons in that series, it’s another gritty police drama to watch.
And although the two characters are related in the books, because they were made for different streaming platforms, they never meet in the tv versions.
