Android is an operating system that is characterized by its great capacity for customizationsince it offers you the possibility of modify the icons, the wallpaper and even the layout of the home screen.
Regarding this last function, one of the best ways to customize your mobile’s desktop is by using widgets, which are graphic elements that allow you to see the information of an app directly on the home screen without having to access it.

Remember that to place a widget on the home screen of your smartphone you simply have to perform a long press on an empty space from this, click on the button widgets and drag the widget to that hole.
I have been using widgets on Android for a long time and today I am going to share with you those that have become essential for me. These are the widgets that I always install on my Android mobile.
Podcast Addict
As I usually listen to many podcasts through my mobile, the widget that I always place on the main desktop screen of my smartphone is that of Podcast Addict, which is one of the best podcast apps for Android.
This handy widget allows me to perform a wide variety of actions without having to open the app like pause, resume, fast-forward and rewind playback of any episodeaccess the playlist of my podcasts and downloaded episodes and manually update the app to check if new podcasts have been published.
In addition, this widget is fully customizable, since from the Podcast Addict settings you can select what buttons do you want to have available on it. In my personal case I always select the 4×1 size widget that allows me to include a maximum of 6 buttons in it.

TV Time
The second of the essential widgets for me is the TV Time app, a tool that we talked about recently and that allows you to keep track of all the series you watch.
In this case, TV Time offers you two different widgets: one that shows you the following episodes of the series you follow and another that tells you when the next episodes of your favorite series are released.
The first one shows you a list of the episodes that you have pending to see of the series that you follow and if you click on one of them, it opens in the application so you can mark it as seen, read a description of it and give your opinion about it.
With the second you can see the date and time of the next episodes of your favorite series and the platform on which they are going to be cast, but you must bear in mind that if they are foreign series, this information always refers to its premiere in the United States.

Another of the widgets that I always install on my smartphone is WhatsApp, since it allows me to check at a glance all the messages that I have pending to read without having to constantly open the application.
Also, if you click on any of the messages that you have pending to read, you can reply to them directly, since doing so opens the WhatsApp app in the individual or group chat to which these messages belong.

Spotify
Another of the widgets that cannot be missing on the home screen of my Android mobile is the Spotifyone of the best music streaming apps for Android.
Thanks to this widget, you can see the name of the artist and the song, its album cover and, in addition, you can also control its playback by being able to pause it, skip to the next song, and play the previous song again.

As I like to review the weather that is going to do, especially for know if I have to leave the house with an umbrellaanother of the widgets that I always place on my mobile’s desktop is Accuweather, one of the best weather apps for Android, which I’ve been using for several years.
AccuWeather has several widgets for Android, but the most practical and the one I use is the one that shows the weather forecast three days aheadsince it allows you to know what the weather is going to do both on the current day and the next two days.

The last widget that cannot be missing from my smartphone is the Mi Home app, which is Xiaomi app control smart home devices.
Thanks to this widget you can turn on or off all the smart devices in your home compatible with this app such as robot vacuum cleaners or smart lamps without the need to open the application, which allows you to conveniently control them remotely, even when you’re not at home.
