The latest beta version of WhatsApp makes it much easier to log in on a new device: a simple automated phone call is all it takes

Some time ago, we already talked about automatic account verification in WhatsApp. During all this time, the function has remained in development and was not ready to see the light. Now this verification option is becoming available for Android users.

As has been verified, when log in to a WhatsApp account on a devicethe app will give the option to verify phone number making an automated call, without the need to enter the six-digit code.

The call will end immediatelyand, as long as WhatsApp has been granted permission to access call history, it will check if the called phone number matches the phone number in the account.

The feature is already coming to whatsapp beta for android with the latest version of the application. According to count from WABetaInfo, this option will not come to WhatsApp for iOS due to the absence of a public API that allows querying the call log.
