Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara are currently working together on the triangular rom-com film ‘Kathuvakkula Rendu Kadhal’. The dubbing of the movie is progressing at a brisk phase. The upcoming flick also stars Samantha and Ilaya Thilagam Prabhu. It is expected to hit the screens later this month.
Meanwhile, it is already known that a few films are being produced on behalf of Rowdy Pictures, a joint venture of Vignesh Shivan and the Lady Superstar Nayanthara. ‘Rocky’ is one of the movies that is bankrolled by the Rowdy Pictures banner. It stars ‘Taramani’ fame Vasanth Ravi, veteran filmmaker Bharathiraja and Raveena Ravi in the lead roles.
Rocky is helmed by debutante director Arun Matheshwaran, an assistant director of Thiagarajan Kumararaja in the National award-winning movie ‘Aaranya Kaandam’ and he is also the dialogue writer of Sudha Kongara’s ‘Irudhi Suttru’. This film is long-delayed since 2019 and Arun has completed his second movie ‘Saani Kaayidham’ starring Selvaraghavan and Keerthy Suresh in meantime.
The makers have announced the release date of the project as the shooting and post-production work has been completed. Rocky is slated to hit the big screens on December 23. The makers dropped the update with a brand new poster. The neo-noir action thriller is set against a gangster backdrop, but with an emotional core. Shreyas Krishna has craked the camera while the musical score is taken care of by Darbuka Siva.
