Light years better than the official app of the social network, the app is a beautiful and fast way to interact with everything Reddit.

And the app has recently been updated with a host of features for iOS 16 users and even a fun and cuddly addition for iPhone 14 Pro users.

For all iPhone users with iOS 16 installed, the app offers a number of new widgets to customize your lock screen. Some of the options you can choose from include a trending post widget, karma widget, inbox widget, a shortcut widget.

A unique option, the distance scrolled widget shows how for you scrolled inside the app, Your fingers will probably be tired reading it. You can choose the unit shown, set goals, and compare your scrolling distance to other popular measurements as a point of reference.

Other additions include Live Text from images and photos and the weather conditions shown in a city’s subreddit.

Along with those handy features, the app is now offering Pixel Pals. You can now add a cute animal that will appear on top of the Dynamic Island of the iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max.

You can choose from a cat, dog, hedgehog, fox, or axolotl. The cute animal will walk around the top of the island.

If you don’t have the newest iPhone Pro, the creatures can also appear on a lock screen widget.

It’s a cute and cuddly addition to the perfect Reddit client.

Apollo for Reddit is a free download on the App Store now. It’s for the iPhone and all iPad models.

There are two additional tiers available. Apollo Pro can be unlocked with a one-time, in-app purchase of either $4.99, $6.99, or $9.99. That unlocks a number of features including the ability to submit posts, use multiple accounts, an automatic dark mode, and customizable gestures.

Apollo Ultra unlocks all of the Pro features and more including more customized notifications, 54 app icons to select from and 18 themes for the app. That’s a subscription of $0.99 per month, $9.99 yearly, or $49.99 for the lifetime of the app.
