AYN Technologies has just revealed all the information regarding the upcoming AYN Odin2 Mini handheld. The device is a slightly smaller version of its brother, which is still one of the best devices of this type on the market (in terms of price-performance ratio). In addition to the very efficient Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 system, we can count on a screen with Mini LED backlight, and the new one looks like a slightly modified PS Vita console.
AYN Odin2 Mini is a new gaming handheld that, in addition to great performance, can also offer an equally good screen, and is decently priced. There’s another device coming up that’s worth taking a closer look at.
AYN Odin2 – gaming handheld with Android on board. Top performance at a low price
AYN Odin2 debuted in an Indiegogo campaign in late 2023, and virtually all the reviews it has received since then have been very favorable. The device offered a great processor, a very good screen, a capacious battery and analog sticks based on Hall effect sensors. The version with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB flash memory was (and still is) offered for $299. All this makes it even now handheld it is very good in terms of price/performance ratio. AYN Technologies has been sharing limited information about its smaller brother for several days, and today we learned all the details. In addition to a really good screen and the mentioned system, we can still count on at least 8 GB of RAM in the LPDDR5X standard, as well as at least 128 GB of fast UFS 4.0 flash memory.

Anbernic RG35XXSP – a handheld for retro gaming is coming that looks like the Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP
There will be modern wireless standards, such as Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3. The active cooling system is also back on board. The second biggest change after the display is the appearance of the device. It is impossible not to get the impression that we are dealing with a copy of the PS Vita console, which clearly shows how well designed this equipment was by Sony, because even today similar structures look really good. The weight should also be a positive change, but due to the smaller housing, we will also encounter a less capacious battery cell. The whole thing will function on Android in version 13, so the possibilities of using the device remain really large. The basic version will cost $339, and sales will start “this summer” (2024).
