Diablo Immortal Releases For Mobile June 2 Alongside PC Open Beta

Blizzard has just announced the Diablo Immortal launch date and it’s coming sooner than you might think. Although perhaps not soon enough for those of us that are itching to dive back into Sanctuary. As of this morning, the official Diablo Immortal launch date will be June 2. Which means the release is just over a month away for mobile device platforms Android and iOS. But in a surprisingly shocking announcement trailer, Game Director Wyatt Cheng and Senior Manager of Community Development Adam Fletcher confirm that the game is coming to PC.

What’s more, is that it’ll have an open beta that goes live alongside the mobile launch on June 2. That means if you want to play on PC (whether you have a phone or not), you can. And Blizzard confirms that because it’s an open beta, any progress made on the PC version during that time will carry over to the full PC launch.

The Diablo Immortal launch will support cross-play and cross-progression

While the PC availability is exciting enough, Blizzard had more details to share. In its announcement trailer, the company notes that the game will support cross-play with PC players and that cross-progression will have support as well. So, just like with games such as Genshin Impact, you can start playing on your phone or your PC, and then swap to the other if you ever want to and pick up right where you left off.

And every step of the way, you can play with your friends no matter what platform they’re on. So what about controls on the PC version? Well, if you’ve been following the details about the mobile version of the game, you may already know that it now has controller support. Which was introduced in the closed beta that ended earlier this year.

The PC version will support controllers as well. However, that won’t be the only way to play. Blizzard is adding mouse and keyboard support on top of that, with finer details like WASD movement for characters.

Diablo Immortal will launch with six familiar classes, all of which were available during the closed tests. This includes the Monk, Necromancer, Crusader, Wizard, Demon Hunter, and Barbarian.
