GameSir Launches Licensed X2 Pro Controller For Xbox Cloud Gaming

[ad_1]

GameSir has just announced the X2 Pro controller, an officially licensed Xbox controller for mobile designed for use with Xbox Cloud Gaming. While it looks quite similar to the original X2, there are definitely noticeable differences and a few upgrades.

For one, the controller now features an official Xbox button in the right corner of the controller. It also now comes in black in addition to the white model. GameSir is officially calling these colors Midnight and Moonlight, and each one retails for $79.99. They also go on sale starting today and can be picked up directly through Amazon via GameSir’s official Amazon store.

Like other GameSir controllers such as the original X2 and the X3, the X2 Pro connects to phones through USB-C directly. Giving players that Nintendo Switch-like design that so many mobile controllers have mimicked. As noted above GameSir did make some meaningful changes, but the adjustments are more subtle.

The GameSir X2 Pro has remappable back buttons

One of the biggest changes with the X2 Pro compared to the X2 is the back buttons. This is actually the first controller from GameSir to offer this feature. And in particular it’s one that we really loved about the Razer Kishi V2 even though the remappable buttons are located in a different spot.

Additionally, GameSir is now using Hall Effect Triggers. As well as Kailh microswitch bumpers. There’s also two ABXY button layouts – one that matches the Xbox controller and one that matches the Switch – and swappable thumbsticks. So you can customize the feel. And since cloud gaming can be a real battery drainer, the X2 Pro also has passthrough charging.

Overall the X2 Pro is a nice upgrade over the X2 and is $20 less than the X3. And it comes in a neatly packaged travel case that makes it simple to store and carry with you just about anywhere. It should support just about any Android phone and it even comes with a free month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Normally that costs $14.99, so this is a good perk especially it’s what the controller was designed for.
