The Google Pixel Watch is a highly anticipated wearable and is expected to swap more users towards using WearOS. The latest report comes from 9to5Google who cites a source that gives insight into the battery life expected on the recently teased Pixel Watch.
According to the source, the Google Pixel Watch is said to last up to a day on a single charge. This number doesn’t represent Google’s official battery figures as the device is not yet released – so the officially advertised battery endurance may change once the Watch launches.
The Google Pixel Watch was revealed to have a 300mAh battery as per another report from the same outlet. It is presumed this is intended for the base model and the battery size of a supposed LTE variant is not yet known. This month, it was reported that the Pixel Watch would use an older Exynos 9110 chipset from 2018 on the 10nm process – the same chipset that was on the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2.
Lasting “up to a day” on a charge is common for modern WearOS devices. The Gen 6 Fossil Watches (such as the Skagen Falster Gen 6) is intended to last not much more than 1 day per charge. There certainly are WearOS devices lasting well into three-day territory like the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra, however this one has a significantly beefier battery and chunky appearance.
The Google Pixel Watch is expected to arrive later this year alongside the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro sometime in the fall.
