Google develops the software for all of the Android devices out there, but it keeps a few goodies tucked away for its Pixel series of devices. One of these Pixel-exclusive features is called Game Dashboard. However, according to Android Authority, Game Dashboard could be coming to more devices in the future.

Several have overlays built into their phones that activate when someone plays a game. These disable certain features while enabling others. Game Dashboard is one of them, and it offers some neat features.

This overlay offers features like the ability to boost gaming performance. Not only that but the Game Dashboard will actually let you stream right to YouTube. It’s a useful tool for Pixel owners who love to game on their phones.

Now, Game Dashboard could be coming to more devices

While Google likes to keep some features for its Pixel line of devices, it also trickles some of them down to other Android phones. A great example of this is Google Assistant. This is what seems to be happening to Game Dashboard, but you’d want to take this with a grain of salt.

A newly-discovered changelog (by Android Police) states that the feature is “Available on select devices running Android T.” The fact that it said select devices running Android T is the kicker. It didn’t specify Pixel devices per se.

This could mean that the feature is soon to make its way over to non-pixel devices. While that is a possibility, the pool of devices will be rather shallow. It will be confined to devices running Android T (Android 13), and that platform is still in the beta stage.

If Google keeps to its Android release schedule, Android 13 should come out of beta testing around October. After that, it will most likely be weeks before it starts making its way to even the first wave of devices. At the rate it’s going, we can expect Samsung’s phones to be the first non-Pixel phones to adopt Android Tiramisu.

We’ll need to see more changelogs in the future in order to confirm this. If the feature does come to other devices, it’d be nice having that as a built-in feature.
