Riot Partners With Xbox For Major Game Pass Perks Across Its Games

[ad_1]

Yesterday during the big Xbox and Bethesda showcase, Riot and Microsoft announced their new Xbox Game Pass partnership. Which introduces what feels like a pretty huge collection of perks to Game Pass tailored to all of Riot’s biggest games. League Of Legends, League Of Legends: Wild Rift, Valorant, Teamfight Tactics, and Legends Of Runeterra all get some sort of special bonus.

And all you need to get these Riot-focused benefits is subscribe to Xbox Game Pass. And not even Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Any tier of the Xbox Game Pass subscription will work. Which means if you play League Of Legends you don’t have to upgrade your Game Pass plan just to score those perks.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers get tons of perks across Riot games

So, what are the perks? Well, if you play League of Legends then you will end up getting all champions for free. Obviously this benefits newer players and total newcomers the most. Since those playing LoL for years very likely have most or all of the champions already anyway.

But if you happen to be missing a few, you’ll be able to score them through this partnership. The same perk applies to League Of Legends: Wild Rift. Players of Riot’s mobile-focused version of its popular MOBA will get every single champion in the game. That’s over 160 champions in League of Legends, and over 80 champions in its mobile counterpart Wild Rift.

As for the other games, Legends Of Runeterra players on both PC and mobile will get the Foundations Set unlocked. Teamfight Tactics meanwhile will offer up a rotation of tier one Little Legends avatars. And finally, those who play Valorant will be able to unlock all agents for free. What’s more, is that Game Pass members will also get access to every new champion and agent across League Of Legends, Wild Rift, and Valorant on day one of their release. Forever. So long as the Game Pass sub is active.

Microsoft and Riot didn’t mention a timeframe on when these perks go live. What’s clear is that they’re not currently live right now. In its blog post, Microsoft says that it will share more details on how to access the content “in the coming months.”
