Samsung Wallet App Now Available In The US & Some Other Countries

[ad_1]

Samsung’s new integrated Wallet app is now rolling out to users. Announced last week, the app combines Samsung Pass and Samsung Pay in a single package for all of the company’s digital services. You can make payments with the same ease and security as with Samsung Pay. It lets you store multiple credit and debit cards so you can quickly pull up one and complete the transaction in no time.

Additionally, Samsung Wallet also lets you store digital copies of your vaccination certificate, membership cards, loyalty cards, gift cards, flight tickets, boarding passes, ID cards, health passes, addresses, important notes, cryptocurrency data, movie tickets, store coupons, and various other digital items. Everything is protected by Samsung’s award-winning Knox security platform. You need biometric authentication (face, fingerprint, etc.) to access stored information.

On top of this, you get all the existing features of Samsung Pass on Samsung Wallet as well. So you can use the app to store digital keys to your smart locks and lock/unlock them with it. Thanks to SmartThings integration, you can also share digital keys with other family members or guests. The same functionality is available for select cars as well. You can use digital keys stored in Samsung Wallet to unlock your supported car and start the engine.

Furthermore, Samsung Wallet serves as your password manager too. You can save login credentials for websites and apps and securely log in with biometric authentication, without having to manually enter the username and password. It isn’t as feature-rich as dedicated password managers but does a decent job.

Samsung Wallet is now available to download

The integrated Samsung Wallet app is rolling out to users via the Galaxy Store. But it isn’t compatible with all devices. You need a smartphone that supports Samsung Pay and is running Android 9 Pie or above. Additionally, the app is currently only available to users in seven countries. These include France, Germany, Italy, Spain, South Korea, the UK, and the US. If you meet these criteria, you can click the button at the end of this article to download the Samsung Wallet app from the Galaxy Store (via).

Samsung Wallet will compete with the Google Wallet that was launched earlier this year, at Google I/O 2022 in May. Perhaps it will compete with the Apple Wallet too. The Korean firm plans to gradually expand the Wallet app’s availability to more markets. We will let you know when it rolls out in other countries.
