Mani Ratnam’s epic magnum opus ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ has resumed shooting in Pondicherry a few days back and the team is working hard to complete the final schedule which was delayed earlier due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Suhasini Mani Ratnam has shared a photo of the ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ shooting underway and pointing to two men dressed from head to toe in blue she wrote “They are not Spider-M’en or super men but camera technicians. Dressed in blue suits as camouflagez”. Truly a reflection of the new normal where the work has to be done with caution and also for technical reasons while shooting the period portions.

‘Ponniyin Selvan’ a 500 Crore bugeted two part epic is jointly produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Producions with A.R. Rahman scoring the music. The topnotch cast comprises of Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prabhu, Nizhalgal Ravi, Balaji Shakthivel, Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Lal and Ashwin Kakkamanu.
