With just a few minutes of work, you can create a you perfect lock screen with a mix of images and more.

You can use widgets from Apple and third-part apps to show a wide variety of information like the temperature, a score from the game, or an upcoming calendar event. And all of the information can be seen without needing to unlock your iPhone.

And with the iPhone 14 Pro lineup, you can always see your lock screen, even without tapping the screen. That’s thanks to the Always-On display similar to the Apple Watch feature.

But with the new app Launchify, you can better make use of widgets. Instead of just information, the app allows you to launch apps directly from the launch screen.

To start, open up the app and select an app you’d like to launch. There’s a huge list of possibilities.

Pick the app. On the next screen, you can choose how to tag the app. You can select an image from the camera roll or a list of symbols. But easily the best way is the use the actual app icon.

Once that’s done, head to your lock screen and long press. Then choose Customize. Select the widget area beneath the date and time. You’ll see the list of lock screen widgets. Drag the Launchify icon to the widget area. Then you’ll press the icon and select which app to launch,

A subscription is needed to make use of unlimited widgets, create a custom app to launch from the lock screen, and the ability to add custom icons. You can subscribe for $1.99 monthly or $16.99 yearly.
